Grandma Hannah comes to visit:)

With all of our traveling around in June, Grandma Hannah had not gotten to see Mia in a while, so she came over to have dinner one and have some Mia time:)  Here are some pics from the fun night...

Tampico Days:):)

Last weekend, we headed to northern Illinois to visit Grandma Toni and for the unofficial holiday in my hometown, Tampico Days.  Tobi even came home to see us...okay, well, she might have come to see her boyfriend-but whatever:) 

We had a great weekend getting to play with Grandma Toni and Tobi, see Grandpa Lorney and Aunt Dawn, visiting with old friends at the beer garden, running a 5k, and seeing lots of friendly faces at the Pancake Breakfast and Parade.

I cannot believe it-Miss Mia is 17 months old today:)  She is mostly sweet, a little sassy and too much fun!  Her daddy and I just love her to pieces and we are so lucky to have such an amazing little peanut!

On Friday, Jaycie, Sarah and I decided to meet for lunch and playtime at Drost Park in Maryville-before it became 1275 degrees:)  We enjoyed some lunch, some ducks and of course-some serious playground time!

Father's Day 2012:)

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there...and to Mia's daddy-

I just want you to know that you are a truly amazing daddy-or my dada-as our peanut calls you:)  You light up her world-she loves you so much and knows how much her daddy loves her-you are her own little personal playground and she definently has your spunky, dare devil personality...and I am a lucky lady to share the crazy journey that is being a parent with you-and I cannot imagine sharing this with anyone else! 

I love you so much:)

While this is always a bittersweet day for me-as it always makes me miss dad even more, my goal was to make sure Shane had a fun father's day! 

We started out the day with a fun breakfast, headed to the park to play with Mia, had a great lunch at Peel in Eville-where there was no wait, if you can believe it:)-, took a nap timeout and then grabbed Tobi and ended the day with a trip to Dairy Queen for ice cream:) 

We had such a great day-and it makes it even better that Shane knows how much I miss dad-and he even invited my sister to get ice cream with us to help make her day a little brighter:)  Reason #1275 why Shane is such an amazing guy!

Glen Carbon Homecoming:)

On Saturday, my BFF Jaycie and I met up with Bethany and Dustin to run the 1st ever Glen Carbon Covered Bridge 5k for the Glen Carbon Homecoming...it was a lot of fun and some great times were run.  No pics though:(  I know-what is wrong with me!

Side note-I AM SUPER EXCITED that Jaycie has decided that she is NOT allergic to running-turns out she was misdiagnosed-who knew:):)  She has now caught the running bug-and I love it!!!!

Later, Mia and headed up to watch Jack-who has decided that he gets to be Mia's big brother since she does not have one:)- and Randy in the parade, eat some yummy food and watch Jack ride some rides while Shane was enjoying his Father's Day present-a golf outing with friends:)  We had a ball with the Rodgers' family-as always:)

A visit from Lauren, Keilan and JT-lots of fun and Mia's first Cardinals Game:)

Two of my dearest friends, Lauren and Keilan, who I met through Golden Apple when we were all just 18 years old, came to visit us a couple of days after we returned from Mexico.  Unfortunately, because we lived so far apart-we usually only see each other twice a year-once they head here and once we head there:)  They have a little guy JT who is 4 months older than Mia and they are expected a little girl in August-YAY:) 

We played lots and lots-and, of course, I took a lot of pictures.  JT is such a good little kiddo-my peanut, on the other hand, decided to pick this week to be....well, let's just say they might have plans when we suggest a vacation all together again:):) 

Anyway, we still had a lot of fun feeding fishies, going to a Cardinals game, playing with lots of outdoor water toys and eating A LOT:)
