A new carseat and Mia in a "box"

One nice Friday night in July, my sister had an extra ticket to go see Rascal Flatts in St. Louis and she asked me to go with her:):)  We had a great time-and one of my favs-Little Big Town-opened up for them!  It was a great summer night:)

How in the world did our baby become a toddler? 

On July 24, 2012, Mia Marie Hannah turned 18 months old:)  Mommy and daddy love this little peanut more than we ever dreamed possible and, for those of you who see Mia on a regular basis, you know that our little lady has developed quite the personality...she is mostly sweet, a little sassy and a very busy peanut:) 

Here are some fun facts about our 18 month old sweetie-pie:

*weighs 25 pounds

*is a very good eater and loves to try new foods

(definently did NOT get that from mommy:)

*says a bazillion words-literally is always talking up a storm

*is a running fool-and loved, loved, loved the Olympics-especially gymnastics, swimming and running

*took swimming lessons with mommy this summer and learned to kick, splash, blow bubbles, dunk her head under water and "swim" to the wall for safety

*is still a great sleeper-takes an afternoon nap and sleeps for about 11 to 12 hours each evening

*loves to play with her babies, "hug it", cook and vacuum

*outside is her favorite place to be and LOVES going to the park-to play and to see the piggy, ostrich, goat and "doodle-doo" (rooster)-our town park has a cute little petting zoo

*loves finding the moon, sunshine, airplanes, puppies and friends

We love you, Mia Marie!!!!!

A visit to Great-Grandma Jean:)

In July, my mom and I took a trip to the small town of Buckley, Illinois, where my dad grew up to visit Mia's Great-Grandma Jean.  Mia loves going to visit, going out for lunch and playing with Grandma's puppy, Spencer and the kitties.  It was a nice, hot July day, but Mia was a champ for the 3 hour drive there and 3 hour drive back:)  My grandma LOVES getting to see Miss Mia!!

Mia's new favorite thing is helping mommy cook dinner:)  She is such a good little helper and loves to "stir it!"

In July, we were lucky enough to get to play with Milli for a day while her mommy, daddy and our daddy helped them moved to Grandpa Randy's while their awesome new house is being built.  We had so much fun with Milli-she and Mia play really well together:)

On HOT day in July, the Hannah's came over to try to catch some of our catfish-unfortunately, it was SOOOOO hot-there were no catfish biting:(  Luckily, I had lots of snacks to keep everyone happy and Mia always has too much fun playing with everyone!

A new baby for the Piano family and a trip to the zoo:)

On July 2nd, one of my BFF's, Lacey, and her husband Mike welcomed a new baby girl, Maezy, into the world:)  She is a little sweetie and looks just her big sister Noelle:):)

Then-there was a day in July in all this heat that it was supposed to be "cooler" as in like only a high of 98 instead of 105-so we decided to brave the zoo:)  It was super hot-but we still had a great time!

Maryville Homecoming Parade

So-those of you that live around St. Louis on the Illinois side probably know that Maryville, IL has a Fireman's picnic parade each year; however, what I did not know is that all of the small floats in the parade have to all homemade, follow the theme and all kiddos on the floats have to be under the age of 6:)  THEY WERE SO STINKING CUTE-and Mia just loved it!!!!

A 4th of July trip to Chicago:)

It seems to be that each year, we head up to Chicago to visit our very good friends Lauren, Keilan and JT for the 4th of July:)  We love hanging out with everyone up there and seeing lots of fun things-we went swimming, watched fireworks, ate some yummy food and played, played, played. 

 We are also SUPER excited for our friends as they are getting ready to add a little girl to their family in August-Mila will be arriving around August 14-and we cannot wait to meet her!

Meeting Great-Grandpa Roy and Great-Grandma-Pat from California:)

At the begining of July, we had some very special visitors come to our house-Mia's great-grandparents who had not yet met our little peanut:)  My grandpa had a bad fall right before Mia was born and they did not get to make their yearly trip from California to Illinois last summer.  Grandpa is doing much better and they decided to head on out this year to see everyone-and we were super excited.

I was super excited for my dad's dad to meet our little lady since my dad only gets to see Mia from up above.  We had a great time with Grandpa Roy and Grandma Pat and their puppy Keisha-Mia LOVED playing with all of them and was super sad to see them go.
