Over the long 4th of July weekend, we traveled to Chicago to see our very good friends, Lauren, Keilan and their little guy, JT. We had not seen them since JT was only 3 months old and they had not yet met Mia:)

We had such a great time-on Saturday, we chilled, let the kiddos play and went for a dip in Lauren's mom and dad's pool. Then, Lauren and Keilan had their sitter come over after the kiddos went to sleep, so we could have a little adult time:) We went to a super cute little wine place.

On Sunday, we went to the town 4th of July celebration with Lauren's sister, Stephanie, Bella and Brian to play with Bella:) Then, after an amazing dinner on the grill, Lauren's mom and dad came over and we got ANOTHER adult night out:) Our little lady, didn't cooperate much though; come to find out, she was cutting her first tooth-which popped through the next morning.

On Monday, Shane, Mia and I woke up early and ran a 5K in Lauren and Keilan's neighborhood! It was a lot of fun-and Shane even got 2nd place in his age group:) After the 5K, we hung out and watched the 4th of July parade. We then headed to Lauren and Keilan's mom and dad's for an amazing BBQ, swimming, and fireworks! What a great weekend-thanks so much, Lauren and Keilan-and JT, too:):)
